Our story
We began with one bottle, a kitchen table, and the wrong oils.
Arome is a small Riviera Maya atelier where diffusers and fragrances are blended the old way—slowly, with care, in small batches designed to elevate every space.

Origin
A search for something honest to live with.
Arome began in a house in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico—with a single amber bottle and a pursuit of the right scent. Inspired by the way spaces shape how we feel, we set out to bring that same sense of care and atmosphere into the home.
What started as a weekend ritual became a small atelier. We still pour by hand. We still choose patience over shortcuts—because true fragrance is never rushed.
“A fragrance should feel like a room you love, reduced to its smallest possible version.”
— Maria
Craft
More Than a Fragrance
Scent has the power to change how you feel the moment you walk into a room. It can calm your mind, lift your mood, and create a sense of peace that stays with you.
That’s why every Arome scent is designed to transform your space into something you truly feel.

Ingredients
Materials we’ll say the full name of.
Plant-based carrier
A sugar-cane-derived diffuser base. Odourless, phthalate-free, non-greasy — it carries scent without flattening it.
Rattan reeds
Cut long, with an open pith so fragrance climbs cleanly. From a single Indonesian cooperative we’ve worked with for years.
Fine fragrance oils
Natural essences blended with high-grade aroma molecules. IFRA-compliant. No phthalates, no parabens, no fillers.
Glass bottles
Blown in small runs from a family glassworks in Spain. Thick-walled, reusable, refillable.
Unbleached linen labels
Printed letterpress, one colour, on linen stock. They age like a good book cover.
Recycled kraft shipping
Corrugated kraft, paper tape, moulded-pulp inserts. No plastic, no foam.
Sustainability
A smaller footprint, shaped one habit at a time.
We don’t print marketing copy about saving the planet. We do change the things we can change: refillable bottles, paper-only shipping, no overnight air freight, and a takeback program for empty bottles.
The atelier is powered by a mix of grid and rooftop solar. Production water is filtered and reused. It adds up slowly — which is a lot like how we make scent.
The Founders
Maria and Robert.
Maria and Robert met in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, and fell in love. Ever since, they have been creating fragrances that reflect the passion they share.
